What is an Artifact?
Think of an artifact simply as an item that you add to your ePortfolio. You can use artifacts to create Collections or Presentations of your work in the ePortfolio tool. Your ePortfolio will contain digital artifacts as evidence of your learning, skills, competencies and achievements. Some artifacts may be required in your programs, courses, and/or work integrated learning experiences. You can create artifacts in ePortfolio or you can collect artifacts from your courses.
Here are some of the different types of artifacts you can create:
- A reflection in ePortfolio
- A link to a webpage
- A file uploaded from your computer
- A web document (or simply, a document you create inside your ePortfolio)
- An audio recording
