Getting Started

Using the Copyleaks Teacher Scanning Tool

The Copyleaks Teacher Scanning Tool enables instructors to upload and scan individual documents for potential academic integrity issues.

Setup Recommendations:

  • Create a dedicated course module for this tool and set it to be hidden from students, or at minimum, hide the tool itself to maintain confidentiality.
  • Notify students that their assignments will be subject to scanning. Below is sample language for your syllabus or course materials:

In alignment with Sheridan’s Academic Integrity Policy, all student work is subject to academic integrity review. Your instructor may submit assignments, discussions, and other coursework to Copyleaks for plagiarism and AI detection at any time during the semester without prior notice.

For Students

End User License Agreement (EULA)

  • Students must agree to the Copyleaks EULA for their submissions to be reviewed. This agreement only needs to be accepted once.
  • Important: Assignments submitted without EULA acceptance will not be reviewed. Students must accept the EULA and resubmit their work for evaluation.
  • Please see Copyleaks’ Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more information.
