Transition from Bongo to Sheridan-Supported Tools
As part of Sheridan’s ongoing effort to streamline and strengthen our digital teaching and learning ecosystem, the college will begin transitioning away from Bongo as of March 31, 2026. Faculty are encouraged to begin preparing now to ensure a smooth shift to institutionally supported tools.
To support this transition:
- Microsoft Teams will serve as the institutional tool for virtual classroom sessions.
- Kaltura, integrated directly into SLATE, is the recommended platform for video assignments. (Integration with H5P is also coming soon.)
SPARK’s Teaching & Learning Innovation team is offering hands-on workshops, program-specific sessions, and individual consultations to help faculty migrate course content and adapt their teaching activities using these supported tools.
You can explore upcoming training sessions and request 1:1 assistance through SPARK’s website.
Thank you for your continued collaboration as we make this important transition to sustainable, supported technologies that enhance teaching and learning at Sheridan.
