H5P Empowers Active and Engaging Learning.
Today’s learners want to interact, explore, and apply knowledge—not just watch or read. H5P makes this possible through more than 50 interactive content types, including videos, quizzes, and branching scenarios that turn lessons into hands-on learning experiences.
H5P content can be displayed in English or customized for other languages. Supported by a vibrant global community, it helps educators create accessible, participatory, and high-impact learning environments that enhance engagement and retention.
H5P is now imbedded directly into SLATE and allows us to either create activities that are non-graded or created activities that are graded. The grade will automatically add to gradebook without any manual process.
1. Exploration & Active Learning
Encourages discovery, interaction, and deeper engagement.
Interactive Video
Educational value – Mainly used to check and consolidate ideas explained in a video by; Embed questions, summaries, or links in videos to keep learners actively involved.
There are many types of interactivities that can be added in an “Interactive Video”; you can add from multiple choice to layering information to interactive links to show more information about the topic. Below are two videos the first video talks about different types of activities that can be added in an interactive video assignment, and the second video shows how to add the interactions by showing step by step. Please watch both videos to understand the process in detail.

Educational value – Add clickable points on images by allowing learners to reveal information, ideal for diagrams or visual explanations.

Flashcards
Educational value – Strengthens memory and understanding through repetition and self-testing—ideal for vocabulary, terminology, and key concept review. If you do not want the learner to add information by typing rather you want the learner to read or listen use dialogue cards instead. They are very closely related to flashcards
