You have two choices to insert a link to an outside URL.create-a-link


Insert Link within File

  • Within your content (in the HTML editor) simply type in the link. Example:
  • Then click enter after the link. The link will automatically be hyperlinked. Example:


Insert Link through Create a Link Dropdown


  • Click Content
  • From the Table of Contents select the module you want to create a file in.
  • From the Upload/Create drop-down select Create a Link 
  • In the pop-up window enter a title for the link.
  • Paste the link in the URL
  • Click Create.

    When you are creating a new Quicklink through the HTML Editor there is an option for target. Under the Target heading there are three options: Whole Window, Same Frame or New Window. New Window is the option you are looking for. Hope that helps. I will send you an email with a screenshot as well.
