You can increase the time limit for a specific user or allow a user to access the quiz outside of the original start and end date<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both\">\n<ul>\n<li>On the navbar, click\u00a0<b>Quizzes.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>On the\u00a0<b>Manage Quizzes<\/b>\u00a0page, click on the quiz you wish to edit.<\/li>\n<li>The drop-down lists allow you to set restrictions for your quiz.<\/li>\n<li>In\u00a0<b>Availability Dates and Conditions,<\/b> choose <strong>Manage Special Access\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/special-access.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22201 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/special-access-219x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/special-access-219x300.png 219w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/special-access.png 421w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 219px) 100vw, 219px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<b>Timing and Display,<\/b>\u00a0you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Control the amount of time learners get to complete the quiz by selecting\u00a0<b>No Time Limit<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Recommended Time Limit<\/b>\u00a0or\u00a0<b>Enforced Time Limit.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>No Time Limit<\/b>\u00a0gives learners unlimited time to complete the quiz and does not display a timer.<\/li>\n<li><b>Recommended Time Limit<\/b>\u00a0suggests to learners how long the quiz should take to complete. Learners can take more or less time than the recommended time without any penalty.<\/li>\n<li><b>Enforced Time Limit<\/b>\u00a0sets a defined amount of time for learners to complete the quiz. Set a grace period to allow extra time to complete the quiz once the time limit is exceeded. You can set a grace limit of 0 minutes if you don&#8217;t want to allow extra time. Choose from one of the following behaviors for when the time limit and grace period are exceeded:<\/li>\n<li><b>Allow the student to continue working<\/b>\u00a0to allow the learner to continue working on the quiz without any penalty.<\/li>\n<li><b>Prevent the student from making further changes<\/b>\u00a0to not allow the quiz to save any additional questions.<\/li>\n<li><b>Allow the student to continue working, but automatically score the attempt as zero after an extended deadline<\/b>\u00a0to allow the learner to continue to work on the quiz, but the entire quiz score will be marked as zero.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adjust the number of questions per page with <b>Paging.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Modify the header and footer with\u00a0<b>Manage Header and Footer<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Enable or disable the options:\u00a0<b>Shuffle Quiz, Allow Hints,<\/b>\u00a0and<b>\u00a0Disable Email, Instant Messages, and Alerts within Brightspace.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Click\u00a0<b>Save and Close.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Special Access allows instructors to assign specific users different quiz availability dates and late submission properties.
