{"id":24155,"date":"2023-08-08T14:25:12","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T18:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ltsadev.sheridanc.on.ca\/apps\/wordpress\/learning-and-technology-portal\/?p=24155"},"modified":"2023-09-01T13:12:52","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T13:12:52","slug":"creating-a-custom-homepage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/creating-a-custom-homepage\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating a Custom Homepage"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Creating a Custom Homepage<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Course Admin.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>From the Course Administration area select\u00a0<strong>Homepages.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The<strong> SLATE\u00a0Course Home\u00a0<\/strong>is the default homepage and is comprised of four widgets: Announcements, Content Browser, Calendar, Course Overview, and Grade Exporter. \u00a0You can copy this page and use it is a starting place or, click on\u00a0<strong>Create Homepage.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If you copied the homepage click on it to begin editing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Properties:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter a name for the Homepage in the Name field.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a description of the homepage if required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25188\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/08\/Create-Homepage-01-300x262.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"262\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/08\/Create-Homepage-01-300x262.png 300w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/08\/Create-Homepage-01.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/h4>\n<h4>Choose a Header:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>By default the header includes the course id, course name, semester code and class number:<\/li>\n<li>You can remove the header by unchecking the box beside\u00a0<strong>Include homepage header.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You can include a custom header by entering custom text into the header box.
