When you are setting up a group Assignment folder\u00a0you have two choices, you can either set the group assignment folder\u00a0up directly in the groups tool. Or you can create the folder\u00a0within the Assignment tool. Below are the directions for either method.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Currently, group assignments are not compatible with Copyleaks<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group Assignment – Within the Groups Tool<\/h3>\n\n\n

Folder Properties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n\n
  • On the create Assignment folders page enter a name for the group folder<\/li>\n\n\n
  • If the folder is associated with a Grade Item, select the grade item from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n\n\n
  • Under the Out Of<\/strong> heading enter a points value the submission will be graded out of.<\/li>\n\n\n
  • Provide any instructions in the instructions area.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Submission Options<\/h2>\n\n\n

    • Select how many files are allowed per submission: unlimited<\/strong> or one file per submission<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n
    • If you are allowing for unlimited submissions choose to either keep all submissions<\/strong> (they will be time \/ date stamped) or overwrite submissions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n
    • If you are allowing for only one file per submission select only one submission allowed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n
    • Click Create <\/strong>or Add Another <\/strong>if you want to add another folder.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • This will create a group Assignment folder.  You can access the folder by clicking Assignments <\/strong>on the course navbar.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Group Assignment – Within the Assignment Tool<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        • Click New<\/strong> Assignment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n
        • Name the folder<\/li>\n\n\n
        • Enter the Out of Points <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n
        • Link to an Existing Grade<\/strong> item<\/li>\n\n\n
        • On the right side, under Submission & Completion, Assignment Type<\/strong> choose Group Assignment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n
        • Select the Group Category that you created in the Groups Tool<\/li>\n\n\n
        • Choose the Submission File type<\/strong> if needed<\/li>\n\n\n
        • Under the Evaluation & Feedback<\/strong> you can Manage Turnitin and add a Rubric if needed<\/li>\n\n\n
