If you want to remove the submit option from a non-editable survey. Any feedback entered for a question is instantly available to a user taking the survey.<\/li>\n<li>Anonymous \u2013 Make Results Anonymous. If you want any user data in the survey to be suppressed. Once this option is selected, it is not reversible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Survey Questions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Please see\u00a0Creating Survey Questions\u00a0at the bottom of this page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Description \/ Submission Message<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter content in the\u00a0<strong>Description<\/strong>\u00a0field if you want to provide a message to students prior to them starting the survey.<\/li>\n<li>Enter content in the\u00a0<strong>Submission Message<\/strong>\u00a0field if you want to provide a message to students at survey commencement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Page Footer<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Content entered in the\u00a0<strong>Footer<\/strong>\u00a0field appears at the bottom of every page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Click\u00a0<strong>Save\u00a0<\/strong>to continue editing the survey or\u00a0<strong>Save and Close\u00a0<\/strong>to exit back to the Manage Surveys page.<\/p>\n<p>You also have the option to Invite Participants to take the Survey if you want to send a survey invitation to the student\u2019s email address.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-22199 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/Screen-Shot-2023-03-09-at-3.26.43-PM-174x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"357\" height=\"615\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/Screen-Shot-2023-03-09-at-3.26.43-PM-174x300.png 174w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2023\/03\/Screen-Shot-2023-03-09-at-3.26.43-PM-593x1024.png 593w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 357px) 100vw, 357px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h1>Restrictions<\/h1>\n<h3>Dates and Restriction<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose the availability status. Change your survey status to <strong>Active <\/strong>to allow users to complete the survey.<\/li>\n<li>You can specify the date or date range that your survey becomes available to users. As applicable fill in the <strong>Start\/End Date<\/strong> of the Survey.<\/li>\n<li>Check the <strong>Display in Calendar<\/strong> if you want the deadlines to be added to the SLATE calendar.<\/li>\n<li>You can attach existing release conditions or create and attach a new condition to the survey. Release conditions require users to meet specific criteria prior to accessing the survey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>User Responses<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the Attempts Allowed, choose one of the following options from the drop-down.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Unlimited <\/strong>\u2013 The user can take the survey as many times as they want. Each attempt is recorded separately.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Single-Attempt that is Editable<\/strong> \u2013 The user has a single survey that they can re-access to edit their responses as long as the survey is still available to them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limited <\/strong>\u2013 The user can take the survey the specified number of times. Each attempt of the survey will be recorded separately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Special Access<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If applicable Add Users to <a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/adding-special-access-for-quizzes-new-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Special Access<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Report Setup<\/h1>\n<ol class=\"step\">\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"1\">On the navbar, click\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Surveys<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"2\">On the\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Manage\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"uicontrol\">Surveys<\/span>\u00a0page, click the name of the survey.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"3\">On the\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Reports Setup<\/span>\u00a0tab, click\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Add Report<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"4\">Enter a\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Report Name<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"5\">Choose a\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Report Type<\/span>:\n<ul class=\"listbullet2\">\n<li class=\"listbullet2\" value=\"1\"><span class=\"uicontrol\">Summary Report<\/span>\u00a0&#8211; You can display aggregate data for multiple choice, true and false, Likert, multi-select, and matching question types. You can also display text responses for written response, short answer, and fill in the blanks question types.<\/li>\n<li class=\"listbullet2\" value=\"2\"><span class=\"uicontrol\">Individual Attempts<\/span>\u00a0&#8211; This report displays each attempt individually. You can choose to hide the user\u2019s first and last name when the\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Individual Attempts<\/span>\u00a0report is viewed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"6\">You can choose to immediately release a report after a survey submission, or enter an alternate date and time.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"7\">In the\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Release Report To<\/span>\u00a0section, select the check box beside each role you want to release the report to.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"8\">Click\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\">Save<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>Creating Survey Questions<\/h1>\n<p>Question types within the survey tool are similar to questions available in the Quizzes and Self-Assessment tools.<a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/learning-technology-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/04\/Survey-questions.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15417\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15417\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/learning-technology-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/04\/Survey-questions.png\" alt=\"Survey questions\" width=\"226\" height=\"117\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click <strong>Add\/Edit Questions <\/strong>on the properties tab to create survey questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The resources below will direct you to Brightspace by Desire2Learn&#8217;s resource centre.
