You would use this most often if you are grading an item that does not have a grade book association. <em>Example: Discussions, Assignments or Quizzes. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you want to enter grades, while directly viewing student submissions, for grade items created in SLATE, please refer to the following pages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/grade-a-discussion-topic\/\">Grade a Discussion<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/grading-quizzes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grade a Quiz<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>To access the Enter Grades page access the Grades tool by clicking <strong>Assessment&gt;Grades<\/strong> on the course navbar and click\u00a0<strong>Enter Grades<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By default, you will see a spreadsheet that contains student&#8217;s names and grade items. \u00a0You must have student&#8217;s enrolled in the course to view this page. \u00a0You can <a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/demo-students\/\">add a demo student<\/a> to test your grades configuration. \u00a0There are two view options on this page;\u00a0<strong>Standard View\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Spreadsheet View.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Standard View:<\/h4>\n<p>Shows a list of students and a column for each grade item. \u00a0What is displayed on this page depends on the grade details chosen in the personal display options. \u00a0You cannot enter grades in this view.<\/p>\n<h4>Spreadsheet View:<\/h4>\n<p>Shows a list of students and a column for each grade item. \u00a0This view allows you to enter grades directly into the user list for all items.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Entering Grades in Spreadsheet View:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-18805 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Enter-Grades-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Enter-Grades-1.png 789w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Enter-Grades-1-300x81.png 300w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Enter-Grades-1-768x206.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on <strong>Enter Grades<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>By default, you should be on Spreadsheet view. \u00a0If not, click \u00a0<strong>Switch to Spreadsheet View\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter Grades in the input fields<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Save\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Entering Grades by Category:<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-18806\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Grade-All.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"654\" height=\"197\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Grade-All.png 720w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Grade-All-300x90.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 654px) 100vw, 654px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Enter Grades\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the drop-down arrow beside the category you want to enter grades for<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Grade All<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter the grades in the\u00a0<strong>Grade<\/strong> Field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<h3>Adding feedback in bulk:<\/h3>\n<p>You can add generic feedback on learners&#8217; grades in bulk.
