A few examples uses \u00a0of Intelligent Agents are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Emailing users with grades below a certain level.<\/li>\n<li>Checking for users that have not logged in within a specified number of days.<\/li>\n<li>Sending an email to students that have completed a checkpoint in the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Access the Intelligent Agents tool by clicking\u00a0<strong>Course Admin <\/strong>on the course navbar and select Intelligent Agent<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Create an Intelligent Agent:<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"step\">\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"1\">On a course navbar, click\u00a0<b>Course Admin<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"2\">Click\u00a0<span class=\"uicontrol\"><span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight1\">Intelligent<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">Agent<\/span>s<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"3\">On the\u00a0<b><span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">Agent<\/span>\u00a0List<\/b>\u00a0page, click\u00a0<b>New<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"4\">On the\u00a0<b>New\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">Agent<\/span><\/b>\u00a0page, enter a name.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"5\">Expand the\u00a0<b>Edit Description<\/b>\u00a0label and enter a description.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"6\">If you want the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to be active, select the\u00a0<b><span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">Agent<\/span>\u00a0is enabled<\/b>\u00a0check box.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"7\">Under\u00a0<b>Criteria<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Role in Classlist<\/b>, do one of the following:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"1\">If you want the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight1\">intelligent<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to be applicable to all roles in the Classlist, select the\u00a0<b>All users visible in the Classlist<\/b>\u00a0check box.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"2\">If you want the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight1\">intelligent<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to be applicable to select roles, select the\u00a0<b>Users with specific roles<\/b>\u00a0check box and select the respective roles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"8\">If you want your\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to target users&#8217; login habits, under\u00a0<b>Criteria<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Login Activity<\/b>, enter your criteria.\u00a0<b>Note<\/b>: Login activity refers to logins at the platform level.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"9\">If you want your\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to target users&#8217; course habits, under\u00a0<b>Criteria<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Course Activity<\/b>, enter your criteria.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"10\">If you want your\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to run when a specific existing condition has been met, under\u00a0<b>Criteria<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Release Conditions<\/b>, click\u00a0<b>Attach Existing<\/b>. Select the check box for any condition you want to attach and click\u00a0<b>Attach<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"listbullet2\" value=\"11\">If you want your\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to run when a specific new condition has been met, under\u00a0<b>Criteria<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Release Conditions<\/b>, click\u00a0<b>Create and Attach<\/b>. Select a\u00a0<b>Condition Type<\/b>\u00a0from the drop-down list. Complete any additional\u00a0<b>Condition Details<\/b>\u00a0that appear and click\u00a0<b>Create<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"12\">Under\u00a0<b>Actions<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Repetition<\/b>, select how often you want the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to take action.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"13\">If your role has the\u00a0<b>Use\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">Agent<\/span>\u00a0Enrollment\u00a0Actions<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Perform Unenroll<\/b>\u00a0permissions, you can set your\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to perform an enrollment or unenrollment action:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"1\">Under\u00a0<b>Change User Enrollments<\/b>, select the\u00a0<b>Change user enrollments when the criteria are satisfied<\/b>\u00a0check box.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"2\">From the\u00a0<b>Enrollment Action<\/b>\u00a0drop-down list, select the action you want your\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to perform and select the course.<\/li>\n<li value=\"3\">If you want to\u00a0<b>Enroll user in a course<\/b>, select an available course from the dialogue. Only courses you have permission to enroll in will be shown.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"4\">From the\u00a0<b>New Role<\/b>\u00a0drop-down list, select what role the user will be enrolled with when the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0criteria is satisfied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"14\">If you want the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0to send an email when the set criteria are satisfied, under\u00a0<b>Actions<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b>Send an Email<\/b>, select the\u00a0<b>Send an email when the criteria are satisfied<\/b>\u00a0check box and enter your email details and relevant attachments.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\" value=\"15\">If you want to schedule how frequently\u00a0<span class=\"Brightspace_Variablesproduct_LE\">Brightspace Learning Environment<\/span>\u00a0evaluates the\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>\u00a0criteria, under\u00a0<b>Scheduling<\/b>, select the\u00a0<b>Use Schedule<\/b>\u00a0check box. Click\u00a0<b>Update Schedule<\/b>\u00a0and set your scheduling details.<br \/>\n<b>Note:<\/b>\u00a0Scheduled\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight1\">intelligent<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"SearchHighlight SearchHighlight2\">agent<\/span>s stop running and are automatically disabled if the course is inactive, past its end date, or deleted.
