This tool only enables you to receive <strong>alerts<\/strong> about course activity. &nbsp;It also allows you to subscribe to an activity summary for each course.<\/p>\n<p>The Pulse app is the recommended method of receiving notifications as the delivery of notifications.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<h1>Setting Account Preferences<\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18836 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Account-Settings.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"437\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Account-Settings.png 437w, https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/digital-learning-support-hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2018\/06\/Account-Settings-300x198.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<p>Use the account settings tools to customize and manage your personal preferences, including your personal preferences, online status, accessibility options and discussion settings. &nbsp;You can also forward your emails.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">To access the Account Settings, select&nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Account Settings<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">&nbsp;from the personal menu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/learning-technology-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2013\/07\/AccountSettings1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-683\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/learning-technology-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2013\/07\/AccountSettings1.jpg\" alt=\"Account Settings\" width=\"335\" height=\"40\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">The <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Account Settings Tab <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\"> allows you to adjust default settings such as font, dialogue, HTML Editor, Video, Local, Language and Time Zone settings. &nbsp;It also allows you to forward your email and adjust your online setting to Appear Online by default.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">The <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Discussion Tab<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\"> allows you to adjust settings related to the way the discussion tool displays forums and topics by default.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">The <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Email Tab<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\"> allows you to adjust settings, including tracking activity for sent messages, creating an email signature to append to sent emails and forwarding emails.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h1>Forwarding your Email:<\/h1>\n<p>By default, SLATE uses internal messaging. &nbsp;You have an email address within the system, and students send emails directly from SLATE. &nbsp;If you wish to forward your emails to another email address:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check the box beside&nbsp;<strong>Forward incoming messages to an alternate account.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter the email address you want to forward your emails to.<\/li>\n<li>Select what you want the system to do with emails in your SLATE inbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-16961 size-full alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ltsa.sheridancollege.ca\/learning-technology-portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2013\/07\/forwarding-options.png\" width=\"454\" height=\"193\"><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Please Note:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you forward your emails to a personal email address, please note that when you reply to emails that address will be exposed to the recipient.<\/p>\n<p>username@<b>shernet<\/b>.sheridancollege.ca is a configuration reference for Office 365. It is not part of a valid email address to add as your forwarding email address in SLATE and can create undeliverable issues. Please use a valid email address, such as your official @sheridancollege.ca email, for SLATE email forwarding.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to forward your SLATE email to your @sheridancollege.ca email, please ensure that your Sheridan email is not forwarded back to SLATE.
